Senior Investment Professional

Position Description

Senior Investment Professional for a partner track role requiring strong intellectual interest in investing and the capital markets; a disciplined approach to the investment process; and a track record of identification, assessment and partnership with external managers across multiple asset classes.  

Who are we looking for:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the confidence to work independently as well as part of a team. Most importantly, you are intellectually curious, reliable, discrete, organized, and have a passion for investing and serving non-profit institutions.


This challenging position requires leadership, exceptional judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with many constituencies, internally and externally.  The Senior Investment Professional should bring many of the following professional qualities and experiences:

  • Demonstrated success and track record in manager selection at an endowment, foundation, pension fund, fund of funds, asset management or investment consulting firm
  • In-depth knowledge of various investment products and styles across asset classes
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and conducting due diligence on asset classes and managers
  • The ability to source new and emerging investment managers through established networks and using qualitative and quantitative selection criteria
  • Profound understanding of asset allocation and spending policy and experience undertaking Monte Carlo simulations
  • The intellectual and communication skills needed to engage effectively with other senior investment professionals and convey ideas to Investment Committee members
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Collegial team member, able to work effectively in a small team and contribute to areas beyond the direct scope of responsibility
  • The ability to travel frequently, both domestically and abroad, to conduct due diligence and develop relationships with investment managers
  • B.A. or B.S. with a strong preference for an advanced degree such as an M.B.A., M.A. in a related field, J.D. or a CFA
  • 5 – 10 years of investment related work experience
